OUR MISSION
The Great Lakes Pharmacy Conference exposes regional pre-pharmacy students to the growing field of pharmacy, creates unique learning and networking opportunities, and enhances educational and career potential. We aim to accomplish this through a series of interactive activities that both expands on the framework of pharmacy and connects students with professional innovators and relevant current issues.

Our conference allows undergraduates to explore the field of pharmacy and is held at the University of Michigan each year. Our unique conference is hosted and planned entirely by a team of undergraduates dedicated to our mission. Learn more about them below!

Co-head Coordinator
Cydnee Wilson
Cydnee is a senior at the University of Michigan pursuing a BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences. She joined the Great Lakes Pharmacy conference team in 2022 as a publicity committee member before transitioning to her role as the Publicity Chair and now Co-head Coordinator. Cydnee has thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to teach and inspire pharmacy students through her involvement in GLPC and hopes that GLPC continues to grow each year. Sydney Barnes
Sydney is a senior at the University of Michigan pursuing a BS, majoring in Pharmaceutical Sciences and minoring in Chemistry. She joined the Great Lakes Pharmacy Conference team in 2023 as a member of the publicity committee before becoming the Co-head Coordinator. She works with Cydnee to conduct executive team meetings and ensure that the committees are all on track! She has enjoyed connecting students with their pharmacy peers: she has seen connections formed during the conference that have stuck throughout undergrad and have contributed to successes! Julie Tieu
Julie is a senior at the University of Michigan pursuing a BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences. She joined the Great Lakes Pharmacy Conference team in 2023 as a publicity committee member before becoming the fundraising chair last year. Publicity Chair
Ridley Phan
Ridley is a senior at the University of Michigan pursuing a BS in Biomolecular Science. He joined the Great Lakes Pharmacy Conference team in 2024 as a member of the publicity committee before becoming its chair. He manages outreach, the website, ticket registration, and other logistics. He has loved the opportunity to expose interested students to the field of pharmacy! Planning Chair
Gavin Thomas
Gavin is a senior at the University of Michigan pursuing a BS in Biomolecular Science. He joined the Great Lakes Pharmacy Conference team in 2024 as a member of the planning committee and later became its chair. He is responsible for organizing the speakers and panels for the conference. He has enjoyed creating an enjoyable and engaging conference for undergraduates interested in pharmacy careers! Networking Chair
Pearl Evans
Pearl is a junior at the University of Michigan pursuing a BS in Human Origins, Biology, and Behavior. She joined the Great Lakes Pharmacy Conference team in 2023 as a planning and publicity committee member. In 2024, she transitioned into her role as Networking Chair.
